About Us

Due to a demand for high-quality precious metals, Academy Corporation was established in 1976 as a subsidiary company of the Bell Group. Academy Corporation has grown geographically encompassing sites in New Mexico, Illinois, Utah, Oklahoma, and, Georgia. In developing sources for silver, Academy established varied lines of business. Two sites in Albuquerque are host to the main metal refinery, sheet, wire, and casting grain department, and silver recovery product manufacturing and distributing. Academy’s engineering and design staffs have planned and patented efficient techniques and equipment for the recovery of silver from photo-processing waste solutions. The third site in Albuquerque, Academy Precision Materials (APM), was opened in 1992 to supply high-grade sputtering targets and machined precious metals.
